Create a world
The paired-frame symbol, ink and paper surfaces and lavender and coral accents establish an independent product identity. The layout gives priority to viewing context and calm reading.

Less indecision. More cinema.
An app conceived by Loïc and Ayline, designed and developed by EPIPHANE. This studio project is preparing for its public launch.

The user problem
Viewers know their mood, available time and the tastes of the person beside them. Those clues often get lost behind hundreds of posters. AFINEMA brings them forward: a real time limit, a few preferences and a small selection with understandable reasons.
The EPIPHANE response
The paired-frame symbol, ink and paper surfaces and lavender and coral accents establish an independent product identity. The layout gives priority to viewing context and calm reading.
For you combines selected genres and available viewing history. The Club compares two sets of preferences and proposes up to three compatible titles. A time limit excludes titles that are too long or have an unknown runtime.
Visitors can save a list, rate titles and choose together. An invitation carries only preferences and constraints, without an identity, and is valid for thirty minutes. Accepted choices stay in the tab; screens exchange links without live synchronisation.
Apple and Wikidata films and TVmaze series feed a progressively loaded catalogue. Known identifier relationships group editions of the same work, including editions with different titles. Existing ratings and reviews preserve their author and language.

Evidence at product scale
As of 4 October 2026, the delivered catalogue contains 9,115 distinct film works based on known identifier relationships. Automated checks cover three languages, mobile layouts, rating previews before saving, identified duplicates and an invitation round trip between two isolated browsers. These demonstrate functionality; no measured conversion gains or decision times are claimed.
What this brings to your project
For a media company, cultural service or catalogue publisher, this project shows how an independent identity, heterogeneous data and an understandable decision journey can work together. The product centres on visitors’ needs and works locally before any sign-in.
AFINEMA does not stream films. Netflix, Disney and Prime collections identify production or distribution relationships, not current subscription availability. “Where to watch?” links help viewers check offers. Production payments and live availability data remain to be finalised before public launch.
Posters, data and brands shown in the captures remain the property of their holders. Their presence identifies works and their worlds; it does not imply a partnership or endorsement of the project.
